Barkha’s Custom Sourcing  is an independent consulting firm specializing in sustainable textiles and related product development and sourcing.  Our goal is to manage a limited number of projects at a time so we (Barkha and her US and India-based team) can be a valuable, dedicated resource to all our clients. As a full-service company, we coordinate overall logistics and oversee all aspects of the custom sourcing and manufacturing project including research, product design and development, purchasing and production, quality control and testing, shipping, custom clearance and delivery. The process starts with an initial complimentary phone or in-person consultation. Follow-up working agreements and fees are decided based on each custom project. Eco-Textile Product Development and Design - We work with our clients, both start-ups and established, step by step throughout the entire product development process.

Textile Product Manufacturing– Let us take on the responsibility of having your Sustainable Textile products manufactured to your exact specifications. We only undertake manufacturing projects that include the sourcing of fabric. We do not undertake only CMT jobs. Some of the organic products we can help source and manufacture are quilts, bags, blankets, sheet sets , baby bedding, t-towels, towels, scarves and pillows. We do specialize in custom one-of-a-kind product development and sourcing and would love to hear from you! Having a presence in the US and in India puts us in an extremely advantageous position as a liaison and buying office for our clients.

Custom Eco-Textile Development and Manufacturing– We deal directly with overseas mills as well as native traditional handloom artisans. We can custom create fabrics, wovens and knits using numerous varieties of sustainable and organic yarns based on client specifications. Custom eco-dyeing, printing and embroidery jobs are also undertaken as part of these jobs..........just ask!! Printing jobs include screen printing, digital and hand-block printing.

Logo and Private Label – We can take on the role of sourcing consultants for clients who have their own brands and custom product specifications. We have no design constraints for your custom projects………custom means custom! We will work from your ideas and develop your product!


Barkha’s Custom Sourcing provides experienced and strategic management at both the client and source end of the supply chain. We manage the shipping logistics for each shipment through our affiliations with numerous cargo and courier services. By taking responsibility for and managing complex international trade issues such as quality control, governmental regulations, and logistics, we facilitate the business process and assure hassle-free commodity sourcing transactions.
